  What is Endoscopy? 

Endoscopy is an important diagnostic procedure that doctors use to see and examine parts of the inside of your body. Endoscope is a thin black rubber tube with a camera and light on its tip. This instrument can reach various parts of the body and detect diseases inside the body.

How is endoscopy done? 


 The process of endoscopy is usually done without any surgery – before doing endoscopy, the  patient is advised not to take food and water for a few hours and the doctor can also give you  medicines like anesthetic as per need, this will make you sleep for some time. are given so that  there is no difficulty in inserting the endoscope inside    The endoscope is mostly inserted through the mouth, it can also be inserted into the body  through the nose and other natural openings of the body.   2. Colonoscopy: To examine the large intestine and rectum. 
  3. Bronchoscopy: To examine the lungs and respiratory system.  
  4. Sigmoidoscopy: to examine the lower intestine   
  5. Endoscopic ultrasound: to look deeper into the digestive tract and surrounding organs
